African Angels’ Tennis
Our Grade 5 boys are loving their new Friday afternoon tennis lessons with Lou and Mrs Fourie. We are determined that when our children leave us they have as many experiences as possible so they can decide what they like and want to pursue as they get older. In addition to the many benefits of playing tennis – eye hand coordination, sportsmanship, agility, footwork, following rules and being honest – was the ball in – not to mention the scoring, and specific language – deuce, love, racquet, court, net – tennis is a non-contact sport, and we have a beautiful court right here in Chintsa East. The equipment to play tennis is relatively inexpensive, so in the future if one of our kids shows talent, they have a place to practice and could buy their own racquet. Who knows what doors tennis might open?
