Welcome to our new classroom assistants

We would like to introduce you to our three new classroom assistants, each of them started with African Angels as part of the Seriti Institute and The Jobs Fund programme which provided access to employment and work-related training for 25 unemployed youth in Chintsa.

All three proved themselves hard working, competent and worthy of a full-time placement at the school. Congratulations!

Sinovuyo Grade R assistant – Sinovuyo got involved in Seriti because she is passionate about helping children to fulfil their dreams and desires. She enjoys being part of the African Angels family, spending time with the children and learning about their differences . She plans to do a Foundation Phase Course and become a qualified teacher one day.

Jess Grade 1 Assistant – Jess also came to us through the Seriti Jobs Fund programme. She has always had a passion for teaching and the 6 months of experience she gained through the programme just ignited that passion further. She would like to study teaching when her finances allow.

Asive Grade 3 Assistant – Asive studied Public Management at college and on completion, she struggled to find a job. She was very excited to be offered an opportunity to join the Seriti programme and get involved with teaching. She would like to do further studies, but this time with teaching as a focus.
