Term 2 holds much excitement in terms of advancing our iPad usage in the classroom, with training from Erna, iSchool Africa and Debra from Snapplify. Teachers will be attending an online workshop with regard to the in’s and out’s of becoming Apple teachers. In addition, we have registered for the iPad education summit.
This time last year we were sitting in lockdown quite frustrated that as other schools made the switch to online learning, we were limited to sending work via whatsapp and handing out modules which proved to be rather difficult – some families could access and offer sufficient support to their children and others could not. We knew that online learning would minimise the learning gap while the children weren’t at school, and we knew it was the way of the future, but logistically it was impossible for us to offer.
A year later, we find ourselves embarking on the task of merging the concept of traditional classroom learning with online programs, as well as incorporating a full visual library into our reading program.
Thank you to the incredible team at iSchool Africa and Snapplify.
