From the Principal’s Desk
Eight months into our Visible Learning journey and the teachers are becoming more confident and comfortable in the ways of making learning visible to our learners. Classrooms are full of “we are learning to…” statements and success criteria.

The topic of our next 6 week course with Corwin is Feedback, and we look forward to learning how to offer effective, meaningful feedback to learners.
“It seems that the art of teaching is the ability to listen more and talk less”.
John Hattie

Dispositions are characteristics with which learners navigate the learning process.
At School we continually focus on the dispositions that we view as important for achievement. How learners see themselves has a significant effect on their motivation to learn.
We have enjoyed some excellent assemblies presented by the Grade 5’s, 6’s and 7’s, all with themes of our dispositions that we are learning – Resilience, Courage, Collaboration.
Curiosity, Reflection and Ownership will follow in the next few weeks.
