From the Principal’s Desk

It is hard to believe that our annual prize-giving is tomorrow and we face the end of our 10th school year!

For our teachers, it has been a year of many professional development opportunities. One of these has been Apple training with iSchool Africa. Since April we have been having monthly training sessions with Erna from iSchool Africa. She has been a great support; enthusiastic, encouraging and extremely patient! There has been much evidence of our teachers embracing the new skills learnt, in classroom applications. It certainly has added another dimension to students’ projects, writing assignments and orals.

Simone was our first teacher to complete all the requirements for becoming an Apple Teacher and has just been joined in the Apple Teacher family by Sibo.

Well done, Simone and Sibo, for persevering through all the training and reaching this accomplishment!

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” ― Pele

“I thoroughly enjoyed my journey to becoming an Apple Teacher. The programme has improved my knowledge and given me confidence to come up with new ideas and creative ways to use iPads in the classroom.”

“I began my Apple Teacher Journey in August 2021 with a lot of mixed emotions and not knowing what to expect. But here I am now excited and proud! Looking forward to even more integration of Apple technology effectively into all the teaching and learning activities in my class”
