More girls given the opportunity to stay in school

Thank you Arms in Arms in Africa for purchasing more kits to donate to local high school girls. Themi and Junior conducted Menstrual Health Education with the boys and girls of Bhongolethu Senior Secondary School In Kwelera, and handed out 200 African Angels Days for Girls Dignity sanitary pad kits.

Temie says, “The girls and boys were all very interested in the menstrual education presentation and our discussion around gender-based violence. When it came to question time, there were many questions about the signs of puberty and how babies are conceived – the children weren’t shy to ask which a is proof that they were relaxed in our company. I think that the girls learned that they do not need a man in their lives, and that they should finish school and become independent women.”

If you or your company would like to purchase pads for donation, please contact Lou on or call +27 76 555 4711
