Creative Arts get a boost
Meet our new Creative arts teacher Mr Njotini. Originally from Tsomo, Mr Njotini has a fine arts degree from Walter Sisulu University. His passion for teaching was born during a Youth Facilitator post at The Butterfly Art Project, in Muizenberg Cape Town. He subsequently went back to studying and now has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education which he earned from UNISA while working and volunteering at primary schools back in his home province of the Eastern Cape.
Principal, Sharon Edworthy says, “We are so excited to have Mr Njotini in our team, he is incredibly talented and in addition to teaching creative arts in Grade 4-7, he is volunteering to help throughout the school. This ‘can do’ attitude means he fits in perfectly with our other members of staff.”
Mr Njotini says, “I am very excited about the opportunities offered by African Angels – this is my first time teaching at an English medium school so I have learnt a lot already. I am particularly interested in learning more about the visible learning methodology which is utilised to teach at the school.’
